Imbayah Festival – April 29 to May 31, 2017
The Banaue Imbayah Festival is the most awaited and the grandest festival in the province of Ifugao. The Imbayah is a prestige rite of passage to nobility in the olden times traditionally performed by the elite people of the town. At present, it is a traditional celebration that highlights the continuing revival of the town’s culture.During the interval years when the “Imbayah Festival” is not celebrated, the “Urpih” which is an annual town fiesta will be observed. This is celebrated every fourth Friday of April showcasing the Ifugao culture through the different ethnic sports activity to make the community realize the importance of their identity

The Banaue Tourism Office respectfully would like to inform all foreign and local tourists that the Banaue Tourism Center managed by the Local Government is now on its operations to cater to the needs of our valued tourists/visitors.
Building a number of efforts that have been initiated by the Local Government to address issues and concerns relative to the tourism activities and services system, we encourage all tourists/visitors to register at the Municipal Tourism Center upon arrival and take advantage of its services. An Environmental Fee of Twenty Pesos(Php20.00) per person will be collected. It is intended for Eco-tourism related projects especially the preservation of the Rice Terraces-(Sec. 9 of Municipal Ordinance No. 039 Series of 2005).
Since your safety is our concern, we also advise you to visit the Tourism Center to avail of the services of our DOT accredited and licensed local tour guides, legitimate transport group and accommodation establishments for your convenience.
